Support math arts!

If there's something particular you want, contact me and perhaps we can work something out. I can also make furniture that won't poke an eye out. Sculptures are not available for online payment. Email me if you are interested.

5 Interlocking Tetrahedra

painted wood dowel and thread
15"x15"x15"
1996

$250

The Roving Eye

The conical thing rolls back and
forth on the eye shaped tracks even
though the tracks slope
down at the ends.

holly, maple, mahogany
18"x10"x6"
1997

$500

Great Inverted Retrosnub Icosidodecahedron

This one has the distinction of having fallen off the top of a bus onto the freeway. It was in a box, which left it about two thirds intact, but I had to reattach the other third. That third went back together amazing well, though some of the outer points are not as pointy as they once were!

maple, beech, jatoba,
peruvian walnut, bloodwood, spanish cedar, chokte kok
24"x24"x24"
1998

$2500

Plate Tectonics, based on the Icosidodecahedron

cedar
18"x18"x18"
1997

$650

Clear Great Dodecahedron

plexiglass
7"x7"x7"
1997

$300

Spiky Dodechedron,
the first wooden polyhedron I ever made
(thus its relatively steep price)!

painted wood, 800 sharpened dowels
12"x12"x12"
1995

$3000

Solids I have available a (now very) slowly expanding book of my geometric notes, for 5 bucks which contains a table of data about many polyhedra, math leading to that data, and some suggestions about construction technique. You might also like to see some of my jigs.
